Now it’s that time again to nominate the women you think are the most admirable.
What makes an admirable woman? Is it their looks? Or is it their achievements? Is it because of what they stand for, or what they oppose?
Should looks even matter, or how much money they have? Are women politicians admirable, or are they as hated as their male counterparts?
“When the New Vision last did a survey to determine Uganda’s most admirable women, the choices were as varied as the reasons given,” New Vision Consulting Editor Kalungi Kabuye said. “And the reasons given played a very important role in determining the women that Uganda as a country most admired, which is just one small way to recognise our women.”
Now is the time again to nominate the women you think are the most admirable.
It is three years since the last survey was carried out, and some women have come into prominence, others have dropped off the list, while others are probably still there.
To nominate your most admirable women, readers can go to The Beat Uganda Facebook page and either make the nomination and reason as a comment, or Inbox the choices.
It is important to give the reasons for one’s nomination. The campaign will run both in the newspaper and social media till February 28 2020.
The full results will be published on March 2020, as part of the celebrations to mark Women’s Day 2020.
