Midfielder Shamira Nalugya and defender Grace Aluka are two new players that have been summoned on a provisional squad of 25 players to start preparations for the encounter against Tanzania in the 2020 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualifiers.

The duo, who play for Kawempe Muslim Ladies, will give coach Ayub Khalifah a lot of options when selecting the team.

The summoned players will be camped at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi and will start their training sessions this Friday.

The trainings will be conducted interchangeably at KCCA Stadium, Maroons and Kawempe Muslims SS playgrounds.

Uganda will travel to Dar-es-Salaam for the first the leg on March 1, before hosting the return leg on March 14 at Lugogo.

Tanzania have always given Ugandan women national sides a tough time.                                        
In fact, Uganda women's side will be looking for their first win over Tanzania in the last six engagements between both nations. 

Their last meeting was in the return leg preliminary round of the 2020 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup Qualifiers at Lugogo. Tanzania came out 2-1 victors to progress 4-2 on aggregate to the next round.

A total of 16 teams from six confederations will in November 2- 21 camp in India for the championship that will be in its seventh edition.

Spain are the defending champions, having defeated Mexico 2-1 in the final last year.

The Uganda U-17 summoned team:

Goalkeepers: Daphine Nyayenga, Zulaika Nyamita, Joan Namusisi

Defenders: Gillian Akadinda, Gloria Namugerwa, Stella Musibika, Patricia Akiror, Sumayah Komuntale, Samalie Nakacwa, Bira Nadunga, Grace Aluka

Midfielders: Kevin Nakacwa, Moureen Nangonzi, Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, Shamillah, Shamillah Nalujja, Nagayi Eva, Kyomuhendo Sumayah, Zaina Nandede, Hadijah Nandago

Forwards: Margret Kunihira, Juliet Nalukenge, Fauziah Najjemba, Munyana Brenda, Catherine Nagadya, Nakasi Latifah
