The biggest bone of contention for Trubish and the last executive was the fact that the association treasurer could not account for a host of the expenditure.

Two weeks since his exoneration and re-election as Pool Association of Uganda chairman, Bob Trubish has promised a host of changes in how things will be run going forward.

"One of the most important things I will focus on this time round is to see that whatever funds are used are done in the right procedures and watertight to ensure that all funds are accountable," he said.

The biggest bone of contention for Trubish and the last executive was the fact that the association treasurer could not account for a host of the expenditure. This happened even with a duly elected financial committee in place.

It is due to these issues that some clubs and individuals were not rewarded, something Trubish is determined to see rectified.

"We have to put up a committee in place that will ensure that accountability challenges are not coming up."

His other point of focus is to see to it that the members of the association go back to existing harmoniously to ensure that the sport is moved forwards as opposed to backwards.

"Since this new term is four years, I want to try and ensure that the internal wrangles that previously came up do not come back soon.

"We want to see that we don't have those anymore because when these bubbled over, they ended up hurting mostly the association," said Trubish.

He also emphasised the return of the National Open, which was jettisoned because Nile Special did not renew the contract.

Many lovers of the sport felt that the National Open was the heart and soul of the sport.
