Kajoba demands first-paced game from the Venoms

Vipers coach Fred Kajoba expects his charges to play a fast-paced game in order to meet the demands of the modern game.

Speaking after his side's 1-0 win over Onduparaka on Sunday, Kajoba said he still has a lot to realign his players not only physically but mentally as well because they have to think throughout the match.

"I'm very happy to win my first match at home and I believe we shall win a lot of matches here. We created a lot of chances which we failed to put away, so our next assignment is to ensure we convert all those chances into goals," Kajoba said.

"We passed the ball very well but we have to work on our speed. The players have not been used to that but we have to continue improving on that and we shall be able to win with bigger margins.

"We had to score in open play, so after they squandered all those chances  I told them to look for that one opportunity which we got through a set-piece. We had been working on those fro the past three days, so I'm happy we scored through one.

"Wasswa had scored four during training so I'm happy he transferred that in the match and got us that crucial goal," Kajoba stated.

He was also particularly impressed by left-winger Farouk Musisi who unfortunately didn't complete the match after he picked up a knee injury.

Bobosi Byaruhanga picked up the Pilsner Man of the Match award.

Vipers will next confront BUL away in Jinja on Sunday.
