Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) at last mobilized the Bombers team for camp ahead of the continental qualifiers for the Olympics in Senegal.

The team started camp at Uganda Prisons Training Camp in Luzira on Wednesday at the same venue they camped at while preparing for the All Africa Games last year.

A team of 26 boxers men and women received equipment that includes jerseys, gloves, head protective gear, and other utilities.

"All the 13 boxers who won and got selected for the Bombers team in the qualification trials early this year are on the team and we shall not change unless in case of injuries. The 13 losers have also been brought to camp as training partners to the boxers but we have instructed the coaches to minimize injuries", noted president of UBF Moses Muhangi.

Muhangi said government through NCS has earmarked sh500m for the Bombers training.

The team has 8 men and 5 women training in Luzira.
