KAMPALA-As the election fever catches on, celebrated musician Ronald Mayinja is determined to spice his entertainment with lyrics that advocate for unity, peace and a better life. He revealed this during a press conference at Calendar in Makindye recently.

"Take a glance at your neighborhood, listen to your radio or conversation in a taxi,"  said Mayinja. "There are undertones of tribalism, nepotism, and class."

This is what Peace For All, All For Peace is going to fight and enable Ugandans to look at each other in different lenses.

"We want a country where the president of NRM shakes hands with that of People Power," stressed Mayinja. "There should be a better level of tolerance for each other's views."

Adding that, unlike his counterparts, Full Figure, Catherine Kusasira and Butcherman who are garnering support for President Museveni and the NRM, Peace For All, All For Peace is independent. They are destined to tour the entire country preaching the gospel of unity and peace through music, dance and drama.

During the launch, more than 100 youth gathered under tree shades wearing tee-shirts and caps. They were treated to snacks before chanting the slogan and twisting their arms.

Asked how he is going to foot the bills of spreading his gospel countrywide, Mayinja said so far they are depending on contributions from individual citizens who buy their idea.

In previous political campaigns, artists have become part and parcel of gatherings. Comedians, music and dance spice and pull huge crowds besides enabling desired messages to be driven home.
