First Lady hesitant on reusable pads for students

The education minister said there is not yet enough money for the needed national project adding that such a project much be well-funded to sustain it.

First Lady and Education Minister, Janet Museveni, has said she does not support reusable sanitary towels for students. "I think the government should not have a project that supplies reusable sanitary towels to students. That is not the best for our students."

The education minister said there is not yet enough money for the needed national project adding that such a project must be well-funded to sustain it.

This was said during the ministry's appearance before the education committee at parliament over the budget framework in the ministry.
