Cyclones' performance over the weekend follows the signing of Sultan Atubo and Brian Lubega during the ‘transfer window' to beef up their squad before they released Joshua Aziku and Edwin Wango.

The league that is in its fourth season will climax in March this year after several months of action.

The initiative was started in 2016 by the old boys of St Mary's College Kisubi with 12 teams that have now grown to 18 teams. The Old Boys, families and friends come together to network and compete every fortnight for about nine months in a highly formal football league format.

Apart from playing football, the members of the league have also been able to do some charity work as one of the ways to give back to the community.

In matches played over the weekend, Outcasts played to a goalless draw with Zimbaz while Vikings went down 3-2 to Mafiaz.

Elite were 3-1 winners over Devils while Pirates defeated Bushmen 2-0 before Zuluz lost 1-0 to Mama Teo.

At the end of the season, they will be individual awards for the MVP, top scorer, golden glove, smartest team, and fair play awards in the nine-aside tournament.
