What started as a good show at the Lubiri grounds in Kampala, the Enkuuka show, shortly came to a standstill for over 30 minutes after what organizers described as a power outage.

The performances by different artistes kicked off in the morning and by 5:00pm when the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, strutted in, the Enkuuka revelers had had a fair share of the day's celebrations, until a quarter to 7:00pm, when the machines lost sound, driving the already excited crowds nuts.

At this point, local artiste David Lutaalo, who had performed a number of hits, was the one on stage, before his performance was cut short when the speakers abruptly lost sound for over 30 minutes.

Covered in a dark cloud, with limited lights the revelers lost their cool and started throwing bottles and chairs onto the stage, where bouncers and some organizers had camped to calm down the already charged crowd that had turned impatient after a long wait for the machines to power on but to no avail.

"This is so embarrassing how can they do this when the King is still here, can't they switch on a generator and save us from this embarrassment," one of the revelers was overheard complaining.

The Kabaka exited and some youth started attacking whoever was perceived to be a supporter of the government.
