"It was good winning the Sprint champion to keep our fans motivated. This is good for us as we keep planning for the next season," Blick stated.

"I personally would like to dedicate my 2019 National Sprint Championship title to my Dad (Arthur Blick Snr) who has battled with sepsis and pressure sore for over 12 months during which he underwent six surgeries but we thank God he is now well,"  Blick added.

He also attributed the victory to his sponsors Shell Helix and navigator George Ssemakula together with family for the teamwork.

"I'm grateful to all and I thank my wife Noella, my Kids and my Mum and Dad for being the driving force behind my success,"

Samuel Watendwa won the 2-Wheel Drive category to emerge the national champion.
