INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES 8MANAGEMENT BYE LAWS FOR YELULU, ORA AND NYARWODHO MICRO-CATCHMENTS
The Ministry of Water & Environment-Upper Nile Water Management Zone (UNWMZ) has obtained funds from DANIDA through NURI to implement the Water Resources Management Northern Uganda project and now seeks to procure an Individual Consultant to develop Natural Resources Management (NRM) Bye Laws for Yelulu, Ora and Nyarwodho micro catchments in Arua, Zombo and Nebbi districts respectively.
The purpose of the assignment is to support UNWMZ in the preparation of NRM bye laws in 3 micro catchments of Yelulu, Ora and Nyarwodho to address challenges of water and/or natural resources degradation while improving people's livelihoods in the micro catchments.
The prepared micro catchment water/natural resources management bye laws should therefore be able to provide tools to help govern community members towards acceptable social behavior and to allow the community achieve justice that is predictable, fair and right while putting in place local means to implement community objectives and development policies to guide rational use of the relevant water and/or related resources.
