She left Capital later on to joint Monitor FM (now KFM) than Dembe FM, where she served as Programmes Director.
Remember Christine Mawadri? She was a breakfast show queen and a mainstay on Uganda's FM radio airwaves from way back in the 1990s. Mawadri debuted on Radio Sanyu in 1993, the year the station was opened.
She presented the Morning Show alongside Alex Ndawula and Olanya Columbus until she was given her own afternoon slot at Capital Radio that run until 2004.
She left Capital later on to join Monitor FM (now KFM) then Dembe FM, where she served as Programmes Director.
But she quit the airwaves some good years back, bouncing back, but on a managerial level and running Top Radio as general manager, then Dembe FM in the same position.
With change of ownership at Dembe FM recently, Mawadri's general manager position was scrapped. But thanks to her connections, Mawadri joined a management position at Zuku TV, whose Ugandan franchise is run by tycoon Patrick Bitature, previously owner of Dembe FM.
