Poor road network slows down Kiprotich centre

The Ministry of Works and transport together with the Ministry of Education have agreed to tarmac the road to the centre from Kapchorwa town.
KIPROTICH ROAD
Work on the Stephen Kiprotich High Altitude centre is slowing down due to the poor road network.
The road to the Centre is impassable and that has delayed work according to Commissioner for sports Omara Apita.
He, however, added that the Ministry of Works and transport together with the Ministry of Education have agreed to tarmac the road to the centre from Kapchorwa town.
New Vision visited the place on October 12, 2019, together with the Steering committee, National Council of Sports, Ministry of Education officials and the contractors plus the Kapchorwa district Local Government officials.
The Members of the Steering Committee visited the Hostels at the centre which is yet to be completed.
The 3km running track is 80% complete as well as the Artificial turf field which is for rugby.
