Action against Hunger (ACF) is an international humanitarian organisation operating across nearly 50 countries for almost 40 years. In 1980, Action Against Hunger began its work in Uganda in response to famine conditions in the Karamoja Region where we saved the lives of undernourished children while building the capacities of the community.
After that Action Against Hunger has been continuously operating in Uganda for 29 years, we have led the global fight against hunger. We save the lives of children and their families through detection, prevention and treatment of malnutrition.
We fight the causes of malnutrition through Water, Sanitation and Hygiene interventions to provide safe and clean water to families. We also push for long-term change by enabling people to provide for themselves, see their children grow up strong, and for whole communities to prosper.
