Striker Ivan Bogere scored a brace as Proline defeated Rwanda's AS Kigali 2-1 at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo to make it to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The encounter that was played during a downpour, especially in the second half, saw Proline struggle in the last minutes of the game after AS Kigali tried to put a lot of pressure on them. In the end, the visitors managed to pick a consolation goal through Eric Nsabimana.
 
Proline that are 180 minutes away from qualifying to the group stages of CAF Confederation Cup group stages will have to play one of the losers of the CAF Champions League first round in the play-off round to make it the lucrative stage.
 
Draws for the play-off round are expected to be conducted by CAF next month.

Proline who are taking part in the continental showpiece for the first time will need to be at their best if there are to qualify for the group stages where they will be earn at least $275,000 (sh1b).
 
This is the least amount given to any team that has finished bottom (fourth) in any of the groups in the Confederation Cup.
