One student dead, others injured in motor accident

The accident happened at around 1:00 am as the students were being transported back to Hoima after their practicum.
ACCIDENT
A student at Hoima School of Nursing and Midwifery died on the spot while others sustained serious injuries after being involved in a road accident on the Kibaale-Paacwa road.
The deceased has been identified as Joseline Kirabo, in her 20s, a second-year student. Preliminary information reveals that Kirabo was hailing from Kirisa village in Hoima municipality.
The students were travelling in a bus registration number UAS 887W belonging to Kasamba bus company.
The accident happened at around 1:00 am as the students were being transported back to Hoima after their practicum.
Some students sustained broken limbs and are admitted at Kibaale health center IV pending transfer to Hoima for further management.
However, some people attributed the accident to overspending and reckless driving. The bus overturned after veering off the road. The Police are yet to issue a statement in regard to the incident.
