In pictures: Ugandans rock New York

Due to their hospitable nature and sense of style, Ugandans stood out of the crowd.

Ugandans in North America gathered in New York City to celebrate their heritage, and discuss business, among other activities on September 1, 2019. 

Being the US's Labour Day weekend, the event coincided with a number of notable activities such as the US biggest tennis tournament that took place at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and the Brazilian carnival at New York City Time Square.

At the event, Ugandans took fashion to another level. Here is how they donned at the festival's grand finale dinner that took place at Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Sunday night.
