CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) SOCIAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN ON PRODUCTIVE USE OF ELECTRICITY (PUE)

The Project: "Promotion of Mini-grids for Rural Electrification" is co-funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the German Climate Technology Initiative (DKTI). The project is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH together with the Ugandan Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD), the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA). The objective is to promote private investments into decentralized renewable energy generation and electricity distribution projects. Up to 40 villages in the Northern and Southern regions of Uganda have been identified for electrification under the project, using decentralized solar mini-grid power systems operated by selected private sector companies. GIZ Uganda is seeking services of a qualified marketing agency to implement a PUE social marketing & awareness campaign, aiming at sensitizing the newly electrified communities on the benefits and proper usage of the new mini-grid infrastructures installed in their communities. Within this role, GIZ must also inform the beneficiary population and other relevant sector stakeholders about the project, its results and impacts. CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THIS NOTICE
