Semifinal: KCCA 3 Onduparaka 1

Despite making it to the Pilsner Super 8 final, KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi says Onduparaka gave his side a thorough examination in the 3-1 win the second semi-final.

"It was an important victory since the team is going to play against African Stars in the return leg of the CAF Champions league. It gave us a good test. We played a good side who managed the ball well. They asked a few questions of our defence," stated Mutebi.

Academy graduate Musa Ramathan gave KCCA the lead in 4th minute before Allan Okello doubled KCCA's lead at the end of the first half.

Substitute Bashir Bheto's goal gave Onduparaka hope of a comeback in 52nd minute before Okello restored KCCA's lead two minutes later.

KCCA will now play Vipers next Sunday at a venue yet to be decided. Onduparaka will now play Mbarara City on Tuesday in Arua to battle for third place.

"We had some few mistakes that cost us and secondly we didn't utilise our chances we created. But apart from we had handled KCCA well," noted Onduparaka assistant coach Sadiq Sempigi.
