Judiciary redeploys 11 officers

The transfer instrument affects deputy registrars, an assistant registrar and magistrates’ grade one

Judiciary has redeployed 11 officers with immediate effect, in a move explained as a routine reshuffle.

According to a statement from the Judiciary communications unit dated August 9, 2019, the Chief Registrar Esta Nambayo, effected the changes as part of court service delivery.

The transfer instrument affects deputy registrars, an assistant registrar and magistrates' grade one.

Nambayo clarified that among the changes, are two judicial officers who have been on leave. She explained that such changes are regular procedure to boost the institution delivery capacity.

"The transfers and deployments are aimed at promoting better relations between the Judiciary and stakeholders especially with the JLOS community and district authorities," said Nambayo.

Deputy Registrars

Dr Gladys Nakibuule to Lira High Court and Amos Kwizera to Mbarara High Court. The chief magistrates Lira and Mbarara held fort as caretaker registrars.

Cissy Mudhasi (from Mukono to Jinja High Court circuit), Fred Waninda (Judiciary Planning & Development Registry to Masaka High Court), and Harriet Ssali (Jinja to Mukono High Court).

Samuel Emokor (Land Division to Registry of Planning & Development Unit), Flavia Nabakooza (Executions Division to Land Division), and Assistant Registrar, Ssempala Dorothy Lwanga (Masaka to Executions & Bailiffs Division).

Magistrates Grade One 

Mukasa Sanyu (from Mbarara to Nabweru Chief Magistrates Court; Muhimbise Gordon (Ibanda to Mbarara Chief Magistrate's Court) and Marion Mangeni (Nabweru to the Standards, Utilities and Wildlife Court at Buganda Road).
