Golola unleashed a powerful right that knocked favourite Umaru Semata out in the third round of the middleweight fight.

Those who thought Moses Golola was finished got a big surprise on Saturday night as the motor-mouthed fighter bounced back in style.

Golola unleashed a powerful right that knocked favourite Umaru Semata out in the third round of the middleweight fight.

The fight, promoted for months, sold out at Freedom City along Entebbe road.

"The last time I fought him (Semata) I was cheated. But thank God I have knocked him out this time. I am still standing strong and very fresh to fight until my late 70s," stated Golola after being declared winner.

Golola, also known as "The Hot Temper", started off on a low pace but engaged a stronger gear in second and third rounds.

While Golola relied more on punches Semata charged with kicks as he has usually done.

But it was the former that took the day as a left hook followed by a heavy right sent Semata senseless flat to the canvas.

It was sweet revenge for Golola who was last October beaten by Semata at the same venue.

This time Semata failed to fully recover for over five minutes as Golola was declared the winner. Hundreds of Golola's fans in the packed arena immediately went into a frenzy.

Semata eventually accepted defeat however noting that Golola used illegitimate tactics highlighted by a knee shot when he was on the canvas.

Maj Gen. Elly Kayanja, Buganda Princess Joan Nasolo, Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana, musicians David Lutalo and Ragga Dee were some of the prominent names in the huge crowd.

Kayanja commended the fighters for putting up a good show.
