Notice from Ministry of Agriculture

1. The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the cost of Agriculture Value Chain Development Project (AVCDP). It is intended that part of the agreed amount of the loan will be applied to payment under the Contract for Consultancy Services for Supervision of the Construction of Metrology Laboratory at Uganda National Bureau of Standards. 2.

The services under this consultancy will include: (i) supervision of the Construction of the Metrology Laboratory contract to ensure that the works comply with the technical designs, drawings, specifi cations, conditions of contract, quality assurance standards and sound engineering practice; (ii) preparation of final construction report, design modifications, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals for all completed works; (iii) supervision of the defects liability monitoring period; and (iv) preparation of the works/Project Completion Report (PCR). The Metrology Laboratory works will comprise basement, pressure laboratory, instrumentation laboratory, moisture laboratory, humidity laboratory, temperature laboratory, equipment reception, meeting rooms, time and frequency laboratory, chemistry laboratory, viscosity laboratory, acoustics and vibration laboratory, medical equipment laboratory, maintenance and calibration of equipment floor and storage rooms
