Two people perish in an accident on Hoima road

Two people died in an accident when a Subaru Forester, registration number, UAT 455J collided with a Motorcycle Bajaj boxer UDZ 989F, along Nansana-Hoima road on Saturday night. 

According to the Police, one of the deceased, a one Ssenyonga, a Boda Boda rider, died on the spot while the passenger, a 30-year old Brenda Nabisenke Nsereko, a former human resource officer at Pride Micro-finance Uganda Limited, died on the way to the hospital.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire confirmed the incident and says that the police is carrying out investigations. 

The bodies of the deceased were transferred to Mulago hospital mortuary. Police said that the driver of the Subaru Forester was apprehended and is in police custody. 

Nabisenke's family is in grief after losing their daughter in the accident.

Brian Ssekamatte, an employee of New vision and brother to the deceased, said that the incident happened as Nabisenke was on her way back home.

"As a family, we feel shattered and in great pain. We have lost a sister, friend and God fearing person. We shall always miss you Nabisenke," Sekamatte said.
