Buganda moved closer of qualifying for the knockout round of the FUFA Drum competition following their 1-0 victory over Lango in Group B on Sunday in Lira.

Viane Ssekajugo's 18th minute strike saw Buganda move top of the table with 12 points, three above Lango.

Ankole who defeated Sebei in the other match from the group is in third place with nine points.

Elsewhere, Tooro played out a 2-2 draw with Busoga in Kabarole while Karamoja went down 2-3 to Acholi at Boma ground in Moroto.

Teso drew 1-1 with Bukedi in Soroti while Kigezi lost to Bugisu 2-0 in Kabale. In Kasese, home side Rwenzori was beaten 3-1 by Kampala.
