"Now you are the ambassadors of the institutions you come from, so as an organization we expect you to dress well, maintain personal values and hygiene as this will reflect the good image of your the institutions,’

The Vision Group Senior Human Resource Business Partners, Beatrice Kentaro have warned Internees who are undergoing training with the Vision Group to observe professional dressing code and personal hygiene as a key in reflecting the company’s image.

She said this year the company has recruited over 200 interns in all Vision Group offices countrywide and they will be undergoing six-week training.

‘’Now you are the ambassadors of the institutions you come from, so as an organization we expect you to dress well, maintain personal values and hygiene as this will reflect the good image of your the institutions,’’ Kentaro advised.

Kentaro was speaking while addressing interns during the orientation meeting at Pike House, Vision Group Head Office.

"You have learnt a lot in school and it is time for Vision Group to shape you into professionals especially in terms of practical work and soft skills " she added.

She, however, assured the interns that Vision Group will train them to be better professionals.

Joseph Banyu, the Coordinator Community Social Responsibility (CSR) Marketing Department called upon interns to be friendly and to make sure that they achieve their goals and objectives.

She advised interns not to isolate themselves as this will prevent them from learning and meeting people from the different departments.

He noted that Vision Group has several platforms namely website, twitter, Facebook, radios TV and newspapers in different languages and you are free to visit our website to know what is taking place in different departments like procurements, editorial and upcountry newspapers and electronic media such as TV West, Rupiny, Etop and Orumuri.”

‘’Vision Group has extended its services to people’s sitting rooms where you can read a copy of NewVision, Bukedde, Rupiny, Etop and Orumuri on your smartphone,’’ Banyu explained.

Aisha Namwanje, an intern applauded Vision Group for counseling them especially on the issue of dressing saying many university students dress inappropriately which tarnishes the company’s Image.
