KAMPALA - This year’s edition of Kampala’s gospel dance party; dubbed the Beat Connect will be held at the Garden City rooftop on June 28.
According to the organisers of the annual event, this year’s fourth edition will see a total of 60 local top gospel artistes, two surprise artists, and six DJs perform and entertain the revelers.
Sharon Kiconco, a staunch fan of the dance party says she cannot wait to break a sweat again as she dances to music that praises Jesus. “Giving your life to Christ does not mean that you have subscribed to boredom. Today’s Christians are not favoured as regards entertainment in public spaces. All hangouts are not alcohol or smoke-free yet, Christians too want to hang out. We also love life and love to dance and Beat connect provides this opportunity,” she expressed.
According to King Wesley, the event host, “This is the only event without chairs and no Emcee. It is also the only event where the biggest number of gospel artistes perform live and up close to their fans. More so, people of all ages as long as they love dancing to Christian music are allowed to come through and party.”
Among the artistes expected to headline the show are the high-flying Levixone, Coopy Bly, Robinsan, and Pr. Wilson Bugembe, among several.
