Two dead in Masaka-Kampala highway accident

Two people died on the spot while several others are nursing critical injuries after a head-on collision between a bus that was travelling to Kampala and a truck that was carrying sand along the Kampala-Masaka highway on Tuesday morning.

According to Traffic Police, the accident occurred at around 7:15 am close to the Katonga Bridge.

Without revealing their identities, Traffic Police said the dead are the driver of the truck and the turn boy.

Several passengers from the bus suffered broken limbs and were taken to several hospitals for medical attention.
