Christians of Mityana Anglican Diocese on Sunday congregated at St Andrew's Cathedral, Namukozi (in Mityana Municipality), to celebrate 25 years of the inception of their diocese. The celebrations were presided over by the diocese's reigning prelate, the Rt Rev Dr. Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu. He was assisted by the Provost of the Cathedral, the Very Rev Canon Johnson Kulabirawo. Bishop Bill Atwood, from Dallas, USA, was the guest preacher.  During the function, Bishop Kaziimba commissioned two Canons, namely: the Very Rev Canon Rocky Ssendegeya and, the Rev Canon Mesach Lubega.  Kaziimba also commissioned a new van, which was bought by friends from the US, for the diocese's department of mission and evangelism.  The function was also graced by the Church of Uganda Provincial Director of Communications, Canon Dr. Alison Barfoot.
