NOTICE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
- The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of the consultancy services for automated traffi c data collection on the National Road Network.
- The Entity now invites eligible consultants to submit sealed expressions of interest for automated data collection on the road network. The objective of the assignment is to assist UNRA with the collection of Network Level Automated classified traffic and Weigh in motion axle load data to enable it update the Traffic Information System (TIS) which is part of the engine for its Road Asset Management System (RAMS) that supports decisionmaking for preparation of Annual Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Road investment plans. The consultant is expected to collect and process the Annual Average Daily traffic (AADT), Night expansion factors, seasonal variation factors, Growth Rates and Equivalent Single Axle Load (ESAL) factors among others parameters for each vehicle class, and any other information as maybe required in the TIS.
- Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they are eligible and possess the required qualifi cations to perform the services supported with relevant documentation. This information will include brochures, description of previous similar assignments undertaken, experience in similar conditions and availability of the appropriate skills among staff etc.

- The Government of the Republic of Uganda has allocated funds towards the provision of Consultancy Services for collection of traffi c, condition, and road and bridge inventory data on the National Road Network.
- The Government of Uganda, represented by Uganda National Roads Authority, invites consultants to express interest in providing the services. Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualifi ed to provide the desired services. This information will include brochures, description of previous similar assignments undertaken, experience in similar conditions and availability of the appropriate skills among staff etc.
- The objective of the assignment is to assist UNRA with the collection of Traffi c, Road Condition, Inventory, Bridge and Major culverts data necessary to update the National Roads Database (NRD), which is part of the engine for our Road Asset Management System (RAMS) that supports decisionmaking for preparation of Annual Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Road investment plans.
