Nemostars unveil new signings ahead of new league season

National Volleyball League defending champions Nemostars on Tuesday unveiled five new signings for the 2019 season, promising to go for both the women and men's titles. 

Coach Andrew Okapis flanked by team captain George Aporu unveiled Bernard Malinga, Emma Elanyu, Nicholas Agaba and Timothy Tebalango as the signings for the men's and Florence Kitui from Espoir for the women's team. 

"These are our new signings and we are confident that they will offer their best because they have been tested and proven," Okapis noted during the unveiling at UOC offices in Lugogo. 

Nemostars men's side this year finished sixth overall at the Africa Club Championships held in Cairo, Egypt last month and that is their motivating factor to go for better results as they plan for the new season.

"Our target next year is to better the sixth position, but that means that we have to work harder and also have our games played at the indoor stadium to get used to the smooth surface," Okapis explained.
