A team of 14 Israeli nationals on Friday concluded a weeklong excursion of Uganda.

The team, which comprised of three celebrity families, visited Uganda’s several tourist marvels including Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth national, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and Kazinga Channel.

The visit to Uganda was a special opportunity to connect with the history of both countries. In fact, they finalised the trip, which started on April 21 when they arrived, with a visit to old Entebbe airport where Israeli commandos staged a daring rescue back in 1976.

The team included big names in the media and entertainment circles of Israel. The visit ended with a dinner at Lake Victoria Serena Hotel, Kigo, hosted by Uganda Tourism Board. And from their speeches at the dinner, it was evident that the tourists were awed by Uganda’s beauty and hospitality.

The team leader, Ronnit Hershkovitz said the trip to Uganda is one of the best things they had ever experienced and vowed that they would return for longer expedition.

“This was a magical treatment. After visiting the national parks, seeing the chimpanzees and the nature, I go home with the pleasure that the most beautiful gift of this country is its people,” Hershkovitz said.

The guests were treated to the diverse cultural aesthetics of Uganda, by Crane Performers. The troupe performed different cultural music and dances. It caught the fancy of the tourists, and they joyfully joined to groove the evening away.

Just when they thought it was the “best experience”, the executive director of UTB, Lilly Ajarova told them that was just a fraction of the whole stunning tourism package Uganda can offer.

“You only visited the southwestern part of the country, you didn’t experience the marvel that is the west, east, north and central part of the country. I hope you come back, we still have a lot to offer,” she said.
