Kasana SSS has beaten 25 schools to claim the 2019 national schools boxing championship at Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala.
The event attracted 400 boys and 80 girls, the biggest number of participants ever since the revamping of schools boxing two years ago.

The final on Sunday was graced by Ron Hawkins of the US Embassy, who hailed Uganda Boxing Federation for holding the event.
He praised the international organisation UNAIDS that entered a partnership with the Uganda Boxing Federation to help combat HIV/AIDS in young people.
IBF champion, Sharif Bogere also witnessed the final event and urged the young boxers to be disciplined and focused so as to become world champions.
"We also boxed in the schools' events and excelled. I have chased my dream and here I am," said Bogere.
Fatuma Nabikolo, a student of Kololo High was the best boxer in the girls' category, while Alcan Bwire of Kampala High School took the accolade for the boys.
UBF gave out medals and a school bag to the individual winners in each category while the runner up's bagged only medals.
