Nemostars face funding problems

With time not on their side, they continue to implore all Ugandans and well-wishers to help ensure they can take their full squad to Cairo.

If Nemostars could, they would stage as many friendly matches as they could in a bid to raise as many funds as possible in preparation for the Africa Club Championships for men set to start on the March 30 in Cairo Egypt.

With time not on their side, they continue to implore all Ugandans and well-wishers to help ensure they can take their full squad to Cairo.

If they fail to raise enough resources, chances are high that they may opt to take a thinner squad.

Last week, they had a fundraising drive where they faced Sport-S picking up a hard-fought win but all in all, they still have a long way to go trying to find the resources.

Head coach Andrew Okapis confirmed that the fundraising is going well and the team is preparing as best as they can in these circumstances.

"We would have liked to have more fundraising matches, but unfortunately for us, the facility is all booked out until the 30th of this month," Okapis said.

Unfortunately for the national champions, the government has not yet responded to their cry for help but they refuse to give up. They have not stopped consulting corporate companies and well-wishers.
