Olympics: Egyptian officials to handle Ethiopia qualifier

Ethiopia will host Crested Cranes in the first leg.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics Qualifier: Ethiopia v Uganda (April 3 & 6)

Egyptian match officials will be in charge of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Women Football preliminary round first leg qualifier between Uganda and Ethiopia.

Saad Ali Shahend will be the centre referee and will be assisted by Hassan Hanady and Ahmed Shibl as first and second assistants respectively.

This will be the first time in the history of local women's football that the Crested Cranes take part in the Olympics qualifiers.

Ethiopia will host Crested Cranes in the first leg on April 3 at the National Stadium in Addis Ababa before the return leg to be played in Kampala three days later at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

Over the weekend, the Crested Cranes defeated a Kampala Select Side 2-1 and the team will enter a residential training camp in preparation for the qualifiers.
