Uganda Cup: Umony's strike sends Express into semis

Brian Umony scored the only goal as Express stormed the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinals.

Umony struck in the 2nd minute off Frank Tumwesigye's delivery to put the Red Eagles who last won silverware in 2012 on course to winning their 11th cup competition.

Express are joined in semi-finals by Bright Stars and Kyetume.

The latter needed spot kicks to get the better of Wakiso Giants after they played out a goalless game in regulation time.

Wakiso were however woeful in the spot kicks, converting only one, while Kyetume tucked away their four spot kicks without a fuss.

Vipers have the chance to complete the semifinal line up when they travel to the StarTimes Stadium to face Big League side Proline on Wednesday.
