Nkumba heat up fundraising drive

Nkumba have plans to improve their ninth place finish at year’s tournament but first things first, they need to raise the resources to enable them travel.

 
The tour of Italy is finished, now business will resume as usual for Nkumba University who have less than two weeks ahead of the Africa Club Championships volleyball.

The club is on a fundraising drive and the fact that rain hampered their car was on Saturday has put more pressure on the team.
 
This Friday, they have planned another fundraising drive at the MTN Lugogo arena where they will face off against the UCU Lady Doves, Ndejje and KAVC A.
 
Nkumba is vying to become one of Uganda's first professional volleyball clubs and in the last two years, they have recruited the type of players that will make that dream a reality.
 
They have to start by performing well at continental events like the ACC's set for Cairo in Egypt
 
"Training is back in full force for us because the coach had travelled so we were doing in house training. This week training has picked up again," NUVC's Astreede Agaaba admitted.
