Kampala Junior Tennis Open:Zziwa, Ocen, Otto, and Mwisukye shine

Troy Zziwa, Geoffrey Ocen, Allan Otto, and Joel Mwisukye were the best performers in the U14,16,14 and 18 respectively.

Skills, endurance, passion and hard work were some of the aspects that were displayed at the two day Kampala Junior Open that climaxed Thursday at the Lugogo Tennis Courts.
 
Troy Zziwa, Geoffrey Ocen, Allan Otto, and Joel Mwisukye were the best performers in the U14,16,14 and 18 respectively.
 
Zziwa, Ocen, Otto and Mwisukye defeated Elvis Matisko (10-8), Akram Nsubuga (4-2), Marvin Lukwago (10-8) and Arnold Jurua (5-3) respectively in the final.
 
The tournament received a good response from the public.
 
Organised by Red Rhino in partnership with Junior tennis initiative (JTI), the tournament aims at providing a competitive platform for the youngsters to improve their skills and prepare them for international events.

 The tournament was also the first event to be held ever since Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI) was launched a few months ago.

 The initiative that was introduced by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in partnership with UTA came with the donation of equipment such as rackets, nets, and balls among others from world tennis body.
