SC Villa unveil 13 new players

SC Villa has unveiled 13 new players ahead of the second round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. The new recruits were unveiled to the media and SC Villa Thursday at Villa Park.

"The technical team has selected these players well aware that they will be influential in our team. I want to thank my executive for the support and confidence they gave me in terms of signing these players," stated Villa coach Douglas Bamweyana

The new players are; Asuman Alishe, Yakubu Ramadhan, John Adriko, goalkeeper Saidi Keni (Proline), James Mukasa, Emmanuel Kalyowa, Rahuman Ashaba, Desmond Peter, Hamudani Nsubuga, Amwine Brian, Sulaiman Majanjalo Muhindu Benson and Ronald Magwali.

SC Villa interim committee headed by chairman William Nkemba, Norbert Kazibwe (secretary), Moses Matovu (technical chairman), James Serebe (CEO) and Joseph Kizito (member) were present at the unveiling.

"The First round gave us chance to know the mistakes that were in the team. We rectified all the mistakes and we have to make sure we win our games in the second round. We believe we are ready to go," noted  Nkemba.

SC Villa who are currently 14th in the league with 14 points from 15 games, face URA in their opening game of the second round this Saturday at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
