Ibrahim Juma Dada who was voted Pilsner Man of Match scored a hattrick before Damien Nakalema added the other for Nyamityobora.

Is Nyamityobora on the path to safety?  The Mbarara based side that has struggled for most of the first round, put up an impressive performance as they defeated Police 4-1 Tuesday at StarTimes Uganda Premier league in their opening game of the second round. It was Nyamityobora's third victory in 16 games.

Ibrahim Juma Dada who was voted Pilsner Man of Match scored a hattrick before Damien Nakalema added the other for Nyamityobora. Arafat Galiwango scored a consolation for Police. 

The victory saw Nyamityobora move to 12 points but they remain third from bottom.   

Elsewhere, Simon Sserunkuma's late penalty helped Tooro United defeat Express 1-0 at Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal. 

The games continue today with KCCA taking on Mbarara City away at Kakyeka stadium, and BUL play Maroons in the other game at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
