KAMPALA - The High Court has acquitted three people including businessman, Ivan Katongole who have been battling the charges of women murder in Entebbe since 2017.

While acquitting the accused, the trial judge Wilson Kwesiga noted that the prosecution failed to prove that the accused participated in the murder of Rose Nakimuli.

"The police did a bad job and the prosecution of the accused was done in bad faith. I therefore find that the accused have no case to answer and I do hereby acquit and set all of them free," Kwesiga ruled.

Nakimuli is among the 23 women who were brutally murdered before assailants inserted sticks into their private parts between 2017 and 2018.

Katongole, a businessman dealing in fish has been battling the charges together with Andrew Kizito, a bar dealer and Hellen Nabaggala, a hairdresser with the murder of Rose Nakimuli.

The acquittal of the accused leaves so many questions about the exact killers of the women and their motives.
