New signing Wafula eager to impress at Vipers

Vipers ne signing Innocent Wafula has promised to live up to his billing during his spell in Uganda.

The winger who can also slot in at right back joined the Venoms on a three year dear for an undisclosed fee, to become Vipers' first signing of the January transfer window.

"I am delighted and very proud to be joining Vipers SC. I am very happy to be here and to be a Venom. I really felt that the club wanted me to come. I will give my best on the pitch, and hopefully be a very good player for this team."

Wafula was plying his trade in Kenya with league champions Gor Mahia before he was released in December.

"The team has very talented players and it is a pleasure for me to be part of such a set up. I therefore will work hard to fit in easily," he added.

The former Chemelil Sugar FC player is likely to make his debut on Tuesday when Vipers take on Onduparaka in the Uganda Premier League at St Mary's Stadium in Kitende.

Wafula was born and raised in Busia.
