Mary Nuba off to Loughborough

The 6ft 7 former NIC Goal Shooter will starting next year to play professional netball for Loughborough Lightning in the vitality Superleague in England.

It's not every day that every athlete gets the chance to play professionally, but that is what is happening to She Cranes star Mary Nuba.

The 6ft 7 former NIC Goal Shooter will starting next year to play professional netball for Loughborough Lightning in the vitality Superleague in England.

Nuba will take over goal shooting duties from Peace Proscovia who moved to Australia, and she will be hoping to leave the same legacy her predecessor has left at the club.

"This is a very great opportunity for me. It's not every day that someone gets the chance to go and play professionally, so I will use this opportunity well," the excited Nuba said ahead of her flight to England.

The former student of Nkumba University will continue from where she left off with her studies. She will pursue a Business Administration degree from Loughborough University as she plays her netball.

She will delve into the thick of things from the word go. Her height is a massive boost and could easily make her the standout in the whole league. If she puts in the work, there is no doubt that she can become a game changer for her new team.
