Odongo on the road to recovery

At the moment it is unclear whether Odongo will come back and play this season because Musinguzi believes the decision will be up to him.

Marvin Odongo is on his way to recovery following an injury he sustained during Uganda's Gold Cup campaign in Nairobi Kenya.

It was double tragedy as the Pirates Captain suffered multiple facial fractures during the match and the Rugby Cranes also went on to lose the match in 22-38.

Months later, he has made strides towards full fitness although he is not ready to play the sport yet.

"He is okay at the moment, recovering well after suffering multiple facial fractures. His operation went well considering the injury could have destroyed his face," The Black Pirates Coach Bobby Musinguzi said.

At the moment it is unclear whether Odongo will come back and play this season because Musinguzi believes the decision will be up to him.

"That's a discussion we have to have with him. He is back to being normal. He is working well, he runs around, drops in on training and does some touch here and there, but nothing hectic" Musinguzi confirmed.

The Pirates star assured the New Vision that he was okay and would be back in action very soon enough.
