Bakiga Nation: Celebrating culture and tradition

The Bakiga Nation is an event geared at promoting unity and celebrating cultural heritage through food, music and games. The event took place at the Uganda Manufacturer’s Association show ground on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
Revelers enjoy traditional drinks like bushera and enturire. These are made from sorghum a staple food for the people of Kigezi.

There was also plenty of mouth-watering Nyama choma
Jacket potatoes were also on the menu, the Bakiga are famous for growing lots of irish potatoes
