Man chops off wife's private parts, ears

NAMAYINGO - A 34-year-old house wife is lying at Buyinja Health Center IV in Namayingo district in critical condition after her husband chopped off her private parts and both ears accusing her of making love with another man.

Rose Auma, a resident of Mabende village, Banda Sub County, is accused of having an affair with their neighbour only identified as Munkaaga.

Julius Okware, the LC one Chairman Mabende village, said the man returned home drunk at around 7.30pm and ordered Auma and their two children into sitting room.

In a rage, Wafula is said to have grabbed a kitchen knife and started chopping off Auma's ears and private parts as the children looked on helplessly.

The two children later raised an alarm that attracted locals who found Auma lying in a pool of blood moments later.

The police commander Namayingo district, Geofrey Egwangu, said they are hunting for Munkaaga to answer charges of causing grievous harm to his wife.

Egwangu said Wafula is suspected to be hiding at the Busia border.

The LC 5 chairman Namayingo, Ronald Sanya, urged married couples to always seek counseling from relevant authorities like police, elders or local council one officials in their areas instead of taking the law into their hands.
