Man beheads biological father

KAKUMIRO- Police in Kakumiro district  is hunting  for a man who is alleged to have cut off his father's head.

The incident is said to have happened  on Tuesday morning  at around 12:00am.

The suspect whose identity has been kept confidential for fear of interfering with investigations, is said  to have killed his father ,William Nyakana, 58  a resident of Rutooma village, Nkooko sub county in Kakumiro district.

The deceased's son-in-law, Kiiza Bikurungu said the tragic incident emanated from a domestic conflict between the deceased and his son who is reportedly on the run.

Kiiza said  the deceased accused his son of concealing the wheareabouts of his wife who had fled his house and failed to return home.

On the fateful day, the deceased is said to have attacked his wife and son. However in self defence, the son picked up a panga and cut off his father's head.

The Kakumiro district police commander, Najib Waiswa confirmed the incident. He said Police is investigating the matter as the hunt for the suspect intensifies

Waiswa has warned the public against lawlessness especially in this festive season.
