Tumwesigye dribbled past Younatic’s three man defence to stab in the winner at Kansanga. This followed a series of goals he scored helping his side to the final.

“My dream is to play in Europe,” said the lanky striker as his side emerged champions of one of the five categories.

The annual competition drew 64 teams from the international schools community, corporate world and Rainbow School’s neighbourhood.

Besides, being a sports get together, the competition also serves as a fundraiser for organisations such as Habitat for Humanity, Arms Around Africa, Care and Interact Club.

“Each of these organisations use the occasion to sell items whose proceeds are for charity,” explained one of the tournament’s organisers Mildred Gamba.

Rainbow also uses the event to relate with the Kansanga community.

“It is also serves as a talent identification and grooming point,” explained Gamba.

Rainbow Principal Jason Lewis was one of the school officials who presided over the tournament.

Competition was in six aside games that were played on quarter pitch set ups.
