Nkumba who had humbled the Luwero based ladies 3-0 in game one of three were expected to have it easy against Ndejje, but were surprised when they were forced into a five-set game.

Their hitting department led by Habiba Namala, Astreede Agaaba and Grace Akiror was supported by Flavia Nandawula and their setters Doreen Akiteng and Eunice Niwabugaba.

However, the resistence from Ndejje's Shamim Nalukabwe, Veronica Aanyu and Jesca Kaidu was quite challenging, but the NUVC ladies still managed to get past the finishing line.

The six time league champions have now won more volleyball trophies than any other team in Uganda's volleyball history in one single season both locally and internationally.

Nkumba won the Africa University Volleyball trophy in July just weeks after winning the Rwanda Genocide memorial tournament and the National Club Championships (NCC).
