CRIME 

Police are investigating circumstances under which a private security guard shot a city lawyer, Wilbert Muhereza, injuring him in the process.

The guard was protecting Access building along Kabakanjagala road in Rubaga division, Kampala, where lawyer Muhereza of Owoyesigire, Muhereza and Company advocates has an office. 

The guard, attached to Securex Security Company, has since been arrested while the bleeding lawyer was rushed to Rubaga Hospital for medical attention.

The lawyer reportedly sustained injuries on his hands, but the extent of the injury could not be ascertained by press time as medics were still working hard to save Muhereza's life. But a medic at the hospital, who preferred anonymity, said Muhereza was out of danger.
