Notice of Expression of Interest for Provision of Consultancy Services for Undertaking Environment and Social Audit for the four (04) Irrigation schemes
- The Ministry of Water and Environment has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of the consultancy services described below.
- The Entity now invites eligible consultants to submit sealed expressions of interest for Provision of consultancy services for Undertaking Environment and Social Audit for the four (04) Irrigation schemes (Tochi in Oyam District; Mubuku II in Kasese District; Doho II in Butaleja District and Ngenge in Kwen District) being constructed under FIEFOC 2 Project. The overall objective of the audit assignment is to evaluate the environmental and social performance of the irrigation schemes under construction to the National and Donor safeguard standard requirements. The specifi c objective for the services to be provided under this consultancy will include: (i) Determine the environmental and social performance of the schemes under construction against the National Environment and Social legal framework and African Development Bank Safeguards requirements (ii) Identify emerging issues, highlight opportunities for improvement of environmental and social management of the schemes (iii) provide specifi c, practical and constructive recommendations for improvements to environmental, social and natural resources management by the project/implementing agency.
- Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they are eligible and possess the required qualifi cations to perform the services supported with relevant documentation.
